The Role

The position is to manage frontline relationships from a portfolio of Equity Research departments. The Relationship Manager provides intelligent and focused analytical support to these users, building the relationship and value of Dealogic proposition throughout the Equity Research department.

Relationship Management

  • Understand Dealogic’s Equity Research client base and workflow and work to strengthen and broaden the relationship through supporting, training and strategic dialogue with key users and contacts
  • Identify opportunities to increase the footprint of the product (and other Dealogic products) throughout all covered clients including the running of client workshops and knowledge sharing sessions, topical presentations and regular face-to-face meetings,
  • Identify and approach new senior contacts in the covered clients and Equity research community
  • Identify issues and potential concerns in the relationship and work to rectify these (with sales, client relations, development, IT, other products)
  • Maintain and execute a “relationship plan” for each of the covered clients

Daily Tasks

  • Actively lead efforts to build the Dealogic brand and pitch the product to new Equity Research prospects
  • Support internal teams where and when required (media team-marketing, special analysis; development-specifications, testing; cross-product-training, info sessions)
  • Execute other special projects
  • Shape the global strategy for Dealogic’s Equity Research proposition – supporting colleagues in other regions to ensure said strategy is understood and successfully executed
  • Establishing a reputation as a “go-to” expert on topical themes relating to the Equity Research community (e.g. MIFID 2)
  • Producing thought leadership pieces for Equity Research departments
  • Presenting market updates/insights in wider Team meetings

Product Support

  • Manage and develop frontline relationships with Equity Research departments and serve as central point of contact to major Equity Research departments, supporting product users and advising client stakeholders on best practices for product adoption
  • Driving the migration effort of the legacy products to the Cortex strategic platform

Confident communicator who has the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and our clients. Ability to lead, promote and grow client relationships and set the example for more junior members of the team. The Relationship Manager requires excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and resourcefully, a pro-active and goal-oriented working style with the ability to operate strategically.

Education/Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline

  • Proven experience working in a client facing role
  • Experience in proactively managing client relationships including the development of strategic plans for the relationship
  • Experience of working with technology products
  • Analysing problems and translating that into a solution in software applications
  • Experience of presenting and pitching to senior level stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to understand external clients’ strategy
  • Previous involvement in people management or mentoring
  • An understanding of the banking and capital markets
  • Experience with a consultancy firm (desirable)
  • Experience working in an investment bank (desirable)
