The Role
The Infrastructure Systems Engineer contributes towards the delivery of Dealogic’s core systems, solutions and technology design and ongoing development. As well as being an escalation path for system administrators for advance troubleshooting, problem resolution and root cause analysis you will also contribute towards the implementation of a broad range of large enterprise infrastructure projects, working closely with colleagues in all regions. You will also have the chance to own and implement individual assignments. The role can be demanding and fast paced, therefore you must be able to perform well and remain professional under pressure.
Systems Management
- Designing, planning, implementing and ongoing support of existing and emergine technologies – includes various Windows Server operating systems, system hardware, software such as management, monitoring, security tools and other core back office systems
- Maintain and improve the Dealogic infrastructure by providing highly available solutions across IT
- Day-to-day management, support & development of the existing Active Directory Services (ADS). Fundamental understanding of Core Active Directory roles and features such as DNS, DHCP, Group Policy Management and other associated ADS functions
- Utilise the System Centre management suite (primarily VMM, SCOM, SCCM & DPM) to improve delivery of IT services
- Manage, support and maintain all backup, disaster recovery and business continuity processes
- Own incidents, providing a prompt turnaround & professional feedback to the end user. Develop an understanding of the impact and respond accordingly. Go above and beyond, to provide an excellent service to the business
- Work collaboratively by documenting, sharing and distributing knowledge amongst team members
Process, Incident & Change Management
- Service orientated and ensuring the team deliver exceptional customer service
- Management of incident queues, SLAs in a Global team using follow-the-sun support model
- Planning, assessing, reviewing and communicating changes
- Defining new processes and reviewing the suitability of or maturing any existing ones

- MSCE Certified or equivalent experience

- Virtualisation: Hyper-V, Remote Desktop Services (RDS)
- Clustering solutions
- Internet Information Services (IIS)
- Expertise in System Centre suite, preferably 2016 (SCOM, SCCM, SCVMM, DPM & Orchestrator)
- Core Microsoft back office solutions e.g. Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint, File and Print
- Server build, deployment and management
- Windows Servers; 2016, 2012/R2, 2008/R2, Server 2003
- Backup solutions & Disaster recovery
- Dell Servers, blades & storage systems (preferably Compellent)
- Exposure to Office 365 & Microsoft Azure and/or Public cloud and Hybrid cloud infrastructures
- Exposure to SQL Server
Practical Experience
- Proven relevant experience in a commercial environment as an Infrastructure Engineer
- Awareness of Service Delivery methodologies (ITIL)
