The Role
The primary requirements of the position are to provide both product and analytical support to Dealogic’s Equity Research clients while managing and nurturing relationships with key contacts. The Equity Research Specialist acts as the expert on our Investment Banking Analytics (IBA) product focused on DCM, ECM and M&A content and are expected to offer intelligent insights into the market through regular face to face interactions with the clients.
Daily Support
- Serve as a central point of contact for the Equity Research Analysts, providing exemplary support on content, product and high level technical queries
- Support product users on excel reporting and advise on best practices for product adoption to ensure elevated levels of self-sufficiency
- Plan and drive the migration efforts from the legacy products to the new Cortex platform, including complex excel report migrations
Analytics and Market Expert
- Proactively produce regular thought-leadership pieces on the market for Equity Research clients and internal presentations
- Managed the Dealogic quarterly review reports and process, providing intelligent commentary to supplement the market analysis
- Monitor and stay up to date on all market activity and latest developments within the investment banking industry, including the ongoing implications of MIFID II and present insights back to teams internally
Client Engagement
- Conduct regular product training with users to ensure they maximize the value from the IBA product platform
- Build trusted, long term relationships with the clients through regular face to face meetings and maintain a strong network of contacts
- Conduct market presentations and workshops across covered clients to highlight the product value proposition
About You
A confident, highly analytical individual with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships through product support and intelligent ongoing market discussions. The Equity Research Specialist requires a self-motivating individual with a keen interest in the financial markets, especially MIFID II, who is comfortable working independently and will proactively seek out opportunities to further product adoption and client relationships.
Skills & Experience
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
- Working towards CFA charter status (desirable)
Languages
- Excellent standard of spoken and written English

- An understanding of the banking and capital markets
- Understanding of the equity research market specifically (desirable)
- Experience working in an investment bank, consultancy firm or equivalent (desirable)
